1. See if you have the Portland Group Compilers installed on
your linux box.
- Type 'pgf77' at the prompt:
If you get:
pgf77-warning-No files to process
then your pgf77 is working. Go to Step 2.
If you get:
pgf77: Command not found.
- Check and see if you have pgf77 on your machine.
Type 'locate pgf77' at the prompt
- If you get /usr/local/pgi/linux86/bin/pgf77
then type
setenv PGI /usr/local/pgi
setenv LM_LICENSE_FILE $PGI/license.dat
set path = ($PGI/linux86/bin $path )
or better yet, add those lines to your .cshrc or .tcshrc
- If the result of 'locate pgf77' is blank, then speak to Larry
or Naomi.
2. Next you need to see if you have the netCDF and ODB libraries
installed on your machine
- Type 'ls /usr/local/lib/lib[n-o]*':
If you see libnetcdf.a and libodb.a in the list, then you are set.
Go to Step 3.
- If you don't, then ask Larry or Naomi.
